Once you return the form to me, I generate and send you an invoice. If you agree to the fees based on your document requirements, you can proceed with paying the invoice. If there are corrections that need to be made, reply to the invoice email so I can fix it and resend.

Payment can be made by clicking the link in the invoice email, online on the notarization platform for remote services, or in person for mobile services.

We meet in person or online where I first verify your identity and then complete the forms and notarization required.

Frequently Asked Questions.

This is a short list of the most commonly asked questions about my services. You can find a more comprehensive list of questions and answers on the service pages.

Notary- General Questions

A notary, often referred to as a “notary public,” is an official appointed by the state to serve as an impartial witness during the signing of important documents. Their primary role is to verify the identity of the parties involved, ensuring they are signing documents willingly and without duress. By doing so, notaries help prevent fraud and confirm the integrity of the signing process, adding a layer of trust and authenticity to critical transactions.

  • Acknowledgements: In this type of notarization, the notary certifies that the signer personally appeared before them, was identified by the notary, and acknowledged signing the document. It’s typically used for contracts, deeds, and powers of attorney.

  • Jurats: A jurat requires the signer to personally appear before the notary, be identified by the notary, and take an oath or affirmation that the contents of the document are true. It’s often used in affidavits and depositions.

  • Oaths/Affirmations: An oath is a solemn pledge to a supreme being, while an affirmation is a solemn pledge on one’s personal honor. Both types are legally binding promises to tell the truth and are used in court proceedings and legal documents.

  • Copy Certification: A notary certifies that a photocopy is a true, exact, unaltered copy of an original document. Some jurisdictions may not allow notaries to certify copies of certain documents, such as birth certificates or marriage licenses.

  • Signature Witnessing: The notary witnesses the signing of the document. The signer must personally appear before the notary, prove their identity, and sign the document in their presence.

A Florida notary can accept one of the following forms of identification: Florida driver’s license, a passport issued by the U.S. government, a driver’s license or an identification card issued by a public office in accordance with Florida state law, or an identification card issued by the U.S. Department of Defense.

Notary- Remote Online Service

Remote online notarization, often abbreviated as RON, is a digital process where a notary public performs a notarization using the internet, allowing participants to be anywhere in the world. Leveraging video conferencing technology, the notary verifies the signer’s identity, witnesses the signing of the document, and applies their digital seal. RON provides a secure, convenient alternative to traditional in-person notarization, ensuring the authenticity of the signed document while adhering to established notarial standards.
